Dr. Troy Callahan

Troy Callahan, M.D., is a native of Queens, NY, and the director of Northern Jersey Plastic Surgery Center in Englewood, NJ. He brings almost three decades of experience in advanced plastic and reconstructive surgery and is widely known as a leader in the field. He also serves as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Englewood Health.

Background and history

Dr. Callahan completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, he continued his studies at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York, earning his doctorate in Medicine. Dr. Callahan subsequently completed General Surgery training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and a post-doctorate fellowship at the University of California in San Francisco. He was awarded a National Institutes of Health grant in Trauma and Burns for his research.

He performs cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures at several hospitals and facilities, including Hackensack University Medical Center, Englewood Hospital Medical Center, Holy Name Medical Center, and Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey. Dr. Callahan is In-Network for United Healthcare and Medicare insurance.

Great doctor! I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

I am about 6 weeks post-op from a breast augmentation and a tummy tuck done by Dr. Callahan, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Dr. Callahan is attentive and has great side bedside manners. He answered all my questions and even encouraged me to ask him whatever I thought necessary. He listened to my requests and provided me with realistic information about my outcome. My healing process has been outstanding, and the outcome has been amazing. I wish I had done these procedures sooner. I’m very pleased and would highly recommend him.

I want to share my journey with anyone who is hesitant about coming to the flat side. I had my procedure done with Dr. Troy last week. He was so good to me before and after surgery. I am sitting here 4 days post op I am still in disbelief, I finally did it. I’ve been researching tummy tucks for the past two years. I was referred to Dr. Troy by a friend of mine. I had my consultation with him on 12/1/13, and I knew right away that he was the one for me. I had a consult with a different doctor, but the connection wasn’t there. Dr. Troy is the man!!!!!

Love Love Love Dr. Callahan. He is definitely a perfectionist. He is warm and caring and spends plenty of time answering any question you may have. He did my breast reduction in 2017, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. There was an extenuating circumstance after the surgery with my pathology and he had all the information I needed to deal with at my follow-up visit. He was truly concerned and made sure that I was ok before leaving his office. He checks on me to be sure that things are good. I would recommend him highly.

Dr. Callahan is the most amazing surgeon I could have asked for. Five years ago, he gave me the most beautiful set of boobs a girl could ask for. Having lost a lot of weight, my breasts began to sag and one was lower than the other; Dr. Callahan evened them out and gave me the perfect-size implants. He spent hours measuring my torso to see the distance between my belly button and nipples, etc. and Took two sizes of implants to the operating room. When I woke up, he was by my side, and I asked him which implants he used. He said he went for the smaller ones because the bigger ones were going to look too vulgar. He is a conservative doctor; if you want a natural-looking job, go to him! A lot of people cannot tell I have implants, they have fallen so nicely. I cannot speak enough on his gifted hands.

Dr. Callahan is the most down-to-earth doctor I have ever had and he spends true quality time with his patients both in the office and the hospital. He returns phone calls promptly and is a wonderful surgeon.
